Darren “Dutchy” Dutchyshen was a beloved figure in Canadian sports broadcasting, and his passing is a significant loss for the sports community. He was known for his expertise, enthusiasm, and infectious personality, and his work on TSN was a staple of many Canadian sports fans’ lives.

He was only 57 years old. He had a long and accomplished career, and his contributions to Canadian sports journalism will not be forgotten.

Condolences go out to his family, friends, and colleagues at TSN – plus all the fans who have adored his contributions since he began in sports journalism. May they find comfort in the many memories they shared with him and the impact he had on the world of sports.
