The Umbrella Academy’s Final Season (Netflix)

In the fourth and final season of the superhero series The Umbrella Academy, the Hargreeves siblings find themselves in a new timeline where they no longer possess their powers. Despite this, they must confront new adversaries determined to erase them from existence. This season features returning stars like Elliot Page, Tom Hopper, and Emmy Raver-Lampman, along with newcomers Megan Mullally and Nick Offerman, who play married professors, Doctors Gene and Jean Thibedeau.

The Instigators (Apple TV+)

In The Instigators, Matt Damon and Casey Affleck star as Rory and Cobby, two Boston locals who attempt to rob a corrupt politician. Predictably, their heist goes awry, forcing them to flee with Rory’s therapist, played by Hong Chau, along for the ride. The script, co-written by Affleck, is brought to life under the direction of Doug Liman, who previously collaborated with Damon on The Bourne Identity.

Olympics Closing Ceremony (CBC & CBC Gem)

The Closing Ceremony of the Paris Summer Olympics will feature performances by Billie Eilish, Snoop Dogg, and the Red Hot Chili Peppers, broadcast from Los Angeles. Producer Ben Winston is coordinating the event, which will include both pre-taped and live segments. Security concerns are heightened following a thwarted terrorist plot in Vienna. The ceremony will also feature a stunt by Tom Cruise, who will perform daring tricks in France before transitioning to the musical acts. Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass will accept the Olympic Torch, marking the handoff to Los Angeles for the 2028 Summer Games.
