In a wild stunt that took “driving off a cliff” to a whole new level, professional stunt driver Laurent Lasko went bungee jumping… inside a car! Yes, you read that right. Lasko, known for his daring skills, teamed up with Nissan France to break a Guinness World Record in Paris.
The record-breaking stunt took place in the Paris Business District, where Lasko took the wheel of a Nissan Qashqai e-Power—though “took the fall” might be more accurate. Suspended by eight bungee cords, the car plummeted from a jaw-dropping height of 213 feet and 3 inches, just enough to land the title for the highest car bungee jump. I mean, talk about taking a leap of faith!
Nissan’s Marketing Director, Jérôme Biguet, joked that after commercials featuring the Qashqai e-Power doing everything from skateboarding to paintball, car bungee jumping seemed like a logical next step. What’s next, a car parkour competition?
