STAMPEDERS 1, BLIZZARD 5 

The Swan Valley Stampeders faced a tough start to their 2024/25 season, dropping their second straight game with a 5-1 loss against the Northern Manitoba Blizzard in The Pas.

Blizzard stars Cheechoo Lathlin and Miguel Bouvier each scored two goals, while Marlen Edwards (1G, 2A) and Sam Zagari (3A) racked up three points each.

Landen Gulutzan scored the Stampeders’ only goal, with netminder Jackson Miller making an impressive 49 saves on 54 shots.

Next up, the Stampeders will take on the Steinbach Pistons this Friday night.
