Rock and Roll Hall of Famer, philanthropist, and entrepreneur Sammy Hagar will be honored with the Key to the Las Vegas Strip for his significant economic and charitable contributions to Clark County, Nevada. The ceremony will take place on Friday, October 4, at Cabo Wabo Cantina, Hagar’s restaurant at Miracle Mile Shops, coinciding with its 15th anniversary and Hagar’s 77th birthday. Hagar will also host two sold-out “Birthday Bash” shows at Palms Casino Resort. Known for his charitable work, Hagar has donated over $650,000 to local organizations through his foundation and supports the community via proceeds from his restaurant businesses. Fans attending the celebration at Cabo Wabo will enjoy cocktails featuring Hagar’s own spirits and discounts on food. Cabo Wabo Cantina, a popular spot for Mexican cuisine and tequila, has earned a “Best Tequila Selection” award. Hagar’s career spans five decades, with 25 platinum albums and over 50 million records sold, including time as lead singer of Montrose, Van Halen, Chickenfoot, and The Circle.
