A Dutch museum nearly lost an artwork, mistaking it for real trash. “All The Good Times We Spent Together” by Alexandre Lavet, a pair of hand-painted beer cans, was accidentally thrown away by a substitute technician. The LAM museum in Lisse rescued the piece, noting its theme of food and consumption. The artwork was designed to resemble ordinary objects and was displayed in an unexpected place, a glass elevator shaft, to encourage visitors to see things differently. It was recovered intact from a trash bin just in time.
