STAMPEDERS 1, KINGS 5

The Dauphin Kings scored five unanswered goals, securing a 5-1 victory over the Swan Valley Stampeders on Tuesday at Credit Union Place.

Keaton Johnson put the Stampeders on the board early, scoring just 3:38 into the game.

However, the Kings responded fiercely, netting five straight goals, including a hat trick from Devun Olfert, to clinch the win.

Despite making 23 saves on 27 shots, Stampeders’ netminder Jackson Miller couldn’t hold back the Kings’ offensive surge.

Swan Valley, who outshot the Kings 38-28, looks to bounce back as they host Dauphin in the second game of the home-and-home series on Friday night in Swan River.
