As winter’s due to arrive any moment now, I thought I’d try and liven up my office a little bit with some foliage! Unfortunately, I’ve killed every plant I’ve ever come into contact with. Which is fine when you’re harvesting from the garden, but less so when trying to stave off the seasonal depression. The simple solution is to buy a plastic plant, but it’s also kind of a boring solution. How do you make a plastic plant fun?

Same way as anything else, build it out of Lego! This caught my eye when I was out shopping, and I’ve always had a soft spot for plum trees (owing to the fact that my parents kept one in the front yard for the first 20-odd years of my life) so I figured, what the hell?

Super fun to build, I especially like the vaguely Japanese-styled pot to place it in.

A cute detail, the “legs” are actually pieces that were originally used for horse tails!

Super fun, and you can even angle the flowers whichever way you like to try and pretend that there’s still sun overhead! I’ve gotta say though, while it’s helping to brighten up the office, it’ is’s ALSO darkening the outlook for my bank account because that was way too fun to build and I want more lol
