Yorkton Terriers continue road-trip with defeat in Kindersley

TERRIERS 5, KLIPPERS 8

The Yorkton Terriers’ record fell to 2 and 1 on their four game road-trip after a 8-5 loss to the Kindersley Klippers at the Inter-Pipeline Arena.

Dawson Karol led the way for the Klippers with a four-goal, one assist night while Cobe Perlinger also scored twice to lead the home-side to their ninth win of the season.

Alex Mack and Ethan Sautner also sniped for the Klippers, who got 34 saves from Brett O’Halloran earning his league-leading ninth win of the season. 

Former Klipper Keenan Ingram, Vinay Junek, Tyler Palin and Dustin Renas replied for the Terriers.


Callum Creig got the start for the Terriers allowing six goals on 21 shots before being relieved by Ethan Farrow, who turned aside 14 of 16 shots in the loss.

The two teams will meet again on Saturday night starting at 7:30 PM.


MILLIONAIRES 0, RED WINGS 1

The Melville Millionaires sent 34 shots on Weyburn netminder Angelo Zol and he stopped them all in a Red Wings 1-0 victory on Friday night.

Nick Genette was also very good in the Mils net making 33 saves on 34 shots. 

Liam Fitzgerald scored the lone goal on the powerplay for the Red Wings in the late stages of the second period.
 

The Millionaires return to home ice on Saturday for another Viterra division battle, this time with the Estevan Bruins starting at 7:00 PM from the CN Community Centre.
