Tesla Workers in Germany Have Taken $65,000 Worth of Coffee Mugs!

Tesla’s factory in Germany is facing a peculiar issue: disappearing coffee mugs. Around 65,000 mugs have gone missing since the Gigafactory Berlin-Brandenburg started operations two years ago. The plant’s manager, Andre Thierig, highlighted this during a staff meeting, expressing frustration over repeatedly ordering new mugs. With 12,000 employees, Thierig joked that each worker likely has five Ikea coffee cups at home. He even threatened to remove cutlery from break rooms if the thefts continued, but this was met with laughter and applause, indicating it wasn’t taken seriously.

This issue, however, is minor compared to other challenges at the Gigafactory. The plant has been accused of violating environmental laws, health regulations, and worker safety protections since it began production. Despite these serious concerns, Thierig attempted to maintain a positive outlook in his latest report.
